Mozart Fest 2018
21st March 2018Ingrid Lunt
Once again we are writing to thank those of you who came and sang with us at our wonderful Mozartfest Concert on February 17th in Oxford’s welcoming Town Hall, and those who were members of our considerable audience, the size of which was most gratifying.
It was yet another triumphant day of music making, thanks to all of you singers, the orchestra, our accompanist and organist James Brown, our soloists and most of all Robert Dean our incomparable conductor and artistic director. The atmosphere throughout the day and evening, was enhanced by the seamless organisation provided by our terrific team of helpers under the direction of Rosie Martin, who masterminded that side of things.
We have had some really favourable feedback but would welcome your comments, do please contact us via our website www.oxfordorpheus.com
Our chosen charitable cause this year as many of you know, was the Community Outreach Programme of Chirstchurch Cathedral School, in conjunction with the Oxfordshire Music Service, working in local primary schools throughout the county, a project previously funded by the government and known as “Sing Up”. We are delighted to be able to contribute £2336 to their work this year, as a result of our efforts.
